Sanne Haus was first born out of a need for Creative Director Lena McCroary to furnish her new home in London. For Lena, decorating her new home was not merely about acquiring beautiful furnishings, but to create her personal universe and an environment which aimed to inspire its visitors. Unable to find exactly the pieces she wanted, and inspired by Pierre Cardin’s precocious work as a multi-disciplinary designer, Lena decided she would open her sketch book and begin to draw ideas.
Much like her fashion designs, Sanne Haus furniture is bold, colourful and playful, with a strong sense of humour. Unconventional shapes, colours and patterns are often key as to what differentiates the exceptional pieces. Designs wager between 60s space age and the 80s design movement Memphis Milano, which harness the magic of Lena’s universe, and create a fictional reality through the language of furniture.
